IUI #2 results

Not pregnant.

Oooof this failed cycle hurt a whole lot more than the last one. I need a few days to gather my thoughts before writing more, but I wanted to share for those who have so generously been praying us through this cycle.

I cherish your continued prayers as we gear up for our third and probably final IUI.

  1. I have been following your story through "Making the Most". My husband and I adopted two boys from Russia and we love them TO PIECES yet I still struggle with the infertility piece of it all. Praying for you.

  2. Oh Jillian, I am so sorry. I was really hoping that this cycle would be it for you. Take all the time you need and know that you are being thought of and prayed for. Sending some loving hugs from Ontario.

I am so sorry. You have been using clomid. Are you planning to use injections?

    1. I've been on clomid with an ovidrel injection... doing the same for one more cycle and then exploring other options.

  5. I have been where you are, and I know there isn't much anyone can say to make it any easier. But this verse has gotten be through a lot of tough times while trying to have my kids...." For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11....Prayers for you and your husband and your sweet little boy!

  6. I am so sorry Jillian! Nothing cheerful to say :(. There is a podcast called "creating a family" it's about infertility and adopting and really great! You should give it a go and listen to some of their sessions.

  8. Ugh. I'm so, so sorry. Infertility is such a roller coaster, but the lows seem so much more extreme than the highs. :( I'm hoping the 3rd IUI will be your BFP!

  9. Hi Jill. I'm so very desperately sorry. I was where you are now at the beginning of this year. I just discovered your blog recently (through the adoption board on The Bump) and am startled by the similarities between us. I have the same dx as you{DOR} and we had the exact same treatment plan. You can read more thoroughly on my blog {www.apluslife.net} or you can email me [email protected]. I always felt better when I talked to other women who knew exactly what I was going through.

Hurting with you, praying for you.

  10. Oh Jill :( I'm SO sorry. I had everything I have crossed for you this month. I hope that you, your husband, and Dr. Colbert and his team can get a great plan together for this next cycle. Has it been poor response to the clomid, or just crap luck?

  11. My heart breaks for you :-( I will continue to pray for y'all. I really hope this third cycle works.

I am about a week behind your schedule. We triggered ovulation with Ovidrel on 11/07. My RE was going to do an IUI, but we found 4 follicles measuring over 25. We all felt the risk of triplets was a little high for us so we just went with timed intercourse. I was bummed becasue I would gladly welcome 3 babies, but ultimately am at peace with the decision. (This was the first time I had ever produced good sized follicles on clomid or femara in 9 months)

I had been on 4 tablets of Clomid for 7 days and 3 tablets of Femara for 5 days. Apparently that creates 4 supersized follicles, haha!
